Roger Walsh, M.D., Ph.D.
Roger Walsh graduated with first class honors from the University of Queensland with degrees in psychology, physiology, neuroscience and medicine, while simultaneously working as a circus acrobat and holding world records in high diving and trampoline.
He went to Stanford University as a Fulbright scholarship recipient and later became professor of psychiatry, philosophy and anthropology at the University of California, Irvine. His early research in neuroscience received numerous national and international awards.
Initially skeptical of spirituality, his perspective changed after he began investigating meditation personally. He then conducted extensive research on meditation and psychological well-being. His books include Essential Spirituality and Paths Beyond Ego, albei wyd erken in die psigo-spirituele literatuur.
His writings and research have received more than twenty national and international awards, and students at the University of California have named him "Outstanding Lecturer of the Year" six times.
