The light has come. \u00b2You are healed and you can heal. \u00b3The light has come. \u2074You are saved and you can save. \u2075You are at peace, and you bring peace with you wherever you go. \u2076Darkness and turmoil and death have disappeared. \u2077The light has come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">2. Today we celebrate the happy ending to your long dream of disaster. \u00b2There are no dark dreams now. \u00b3The light has come. \u2074Today the time of light begins for you and everyone. \u2075It is a new era, in which a new world is born. \u2076The old one has left no trace upon it in its passing. \u2077Today we see a different world, because the light has come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">3. Our exercises for today will be happy ones, in which we offer thanks for the passing of the old and the beginning of the new. \u00b2No shadows from the past remain to darken our sight and hide the world forgiveness offers us. \u00b3Today we will accept the new world as what we want to see. \u2074We will be given what we desire. \u2075We will to see the light; the light has come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">4. Our longer practice periods will be devoted to looking at the world that our forgiveness shows us. \u00b2This is what we want to see, and only this. \u00b3Our single purpose makes our goal inevitable. \u2074Today the real world rises before us in gladness, to be seen at last. \u2075Sight is given us, now that the light has come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">5. We do not want to see the ego\u2019s shadow on the world today. \u00b2We see the light, and in it we see Heaven\u2019s reflection lie across the world. \u00b3Begin the longer practice periods by telling yourself the glad tidings of your release:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><sup>4<\/sup>The light has come. <sup>5<\/sup>I have forgiven the world.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">6. Dwell not upon the past today. \u00b2Keep a completely open mind, washed of all past ideas and clean of every concept you have made. \u00b3You have forgiven the world today. \u2074You can look upon it now as if you never saw it before. \u2075You do not know yet what it looks like. \u2076You merely wait to have it shown to you. \u2077While you wait, repeat several times, slowly and in complete patience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><sup>8<\/sup>The light has come. <sup>9<\/sup>I have forgiven the world.<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">7. Realize that your forgiveness entitles you to vision. \u00b2Understand that the Holy Spirit never fails to give the gift of sight to the forgiving. \u00b3Believe He will not fail you now. \u2074You have forgiven the world. \u2075He will be with you as you watch and wait. \u2076He will show you what true vision sees. \u2077It is His Will, and you have joined with Him. \u2078Wait patiently for Him. \u2079He will be there. \u00b9\u2070The light has come. \u00b9\u00b9You have forgiven the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">8. Tell Him you know you cannot fail because you trust in Him. \u00b2And tell yourself you wait in certainty to look upon the world He promised you. \u00b3From this time forth you will see differently. \u2074Today the light has come. \u2075And you will see the world that has been promised you since time began, and in which is the end of time ensured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">9. The shorter practice periods, too, will be joyful reminders of your release. \u00b2Remind yourself every quarter of an hour or so that today is a time for special celebration. \u00b3Give thanks for mercy and the Love of God. \u2074Rejoice in the power of forgiveness to heal your sight completely. \u2075Be confident that on this day there is a new beginning. \u2076Without the darkness of the past upon your eyes, you cannot fail to see today. \u2077And what you see will be so welcome that you will gladly extend today forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10. Say, then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><sup>2<\/sup>The light has come. <sup>3<\/sup>I have forgiven the world.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><sup>4<\/sup>Should you be tempted, say to anyone who seems to pull you back into darkness:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><sup>5<\/sup>The light has come. <sup>6<\/sup>I have forgiven you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">11.
