{"id":822,"date":"2026-05-26T09:19:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T09:19:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hemelbewus.org\/?p=822"},"modified":"2026-08-05T07:47:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T07:47:22","slug":"les-57-hersiening-31-35","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hemelbewus.org\/en\/les-57-hersiening-31-35\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesson 57 - Review (31-35)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today let us review these ideas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>1. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(31)<strong> I am not the victim of the world I see.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">\u00b2How can I be the victim of a world that can be completely undone if I so choose? \u00b3My chains are loosened. \u2074I can drop them off merely by desiring to do so. \u2075The prison door is open. \u2076I can leave simply by walking out. \u2077Nothing holds me in this world. \u2078Only my wish to stay keeps me a prisoner. \u2079I would give up my insane wishes and walk into the sunlight at last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>2. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(32)<strong> I have invented the world I see.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">\u00b2I made up the prison in which I see myself. \u00b3All I need do is recognize this and I am free. \u2074I have deluded myself into believing it is possible to imprison the Son of God. \u2075I was bitterly mistaken in this belief, which I no longer want. \u2076The Son of God must be forever free. \u2077He is as God created him, and not what I would make of him. \u2078He is where God would have him be, and not where I thought to hold him prisoner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>3. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(33)<strong> There is another way of looking at the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">\u00b2Since the purpose of the world is not the one I ascribed to it, there must be another way of looking at it. \u00b3I see everything upside down, and my thoughts are the opposite of truth. \u2074I see the world as a prison for God\u2019s Son. \u2075It must be, then, that the world is really a place where he can be set free. \u2076I would look upon the world as it is, and see it as a place where the Son of God finds his freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>4. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(34)<strong> I could see peace instead of this.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">\u00b2When I see the world as a place of freedom, I realize that it reflects the laws of God instead of the rules I made up for it to obey. \u00b3I will understand that peace, not war, abides in it. \u2074And I will perceive that peace also abides in the hearts of all who share this place with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><\/strong>5. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(35)<strong> My mind is part of God\u2019s.\u00b2I am very holy. <\/strong><sup>2<\/sup><strong>Ek is baie heilig.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">\u00b3As I share the peace of the world with my brothers, I begin to understand that this peace comes from deep within myself. \u2074The world I look upon has taken on the light of my forgiveness, and shines forgiveness back at me. \u2075In this light I begin to see what my illusions about myself kept hidden. \u2076I begin to understand the holiness of all living things, including myself, and their oneness with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"width: 100%; margin: auto; text-align: center;\">\n\n  <!-- YouTube video embed -->\n  <div style=\"position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; width: 100%;\">\n    <iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/taX6kymA0R4?rel=0\"\n      title=\"Les 57 \u2013 A Course in Miracles Afrikaans | Hemelbewus\"\n      frameborder=\"0\"\n      allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\"\n      allowfullscreen\n style=\"position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%;\">\n    <\/iframe>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <!-- Like & Comment button -->\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/taX6kymA0R4\"\n     target=\"_blank\"\n     style=\"       display: inline-block;       margin-top: 15px;       background-color: #1eabe4;       color: #fff;       padding: 12px 20px;       text-decoration: none;       font-weight: bold;       border-radius: 6px;       transition: background-color 0.3s ease;       width: 100%;       box-sizing: border-box;     \"\n     onmouseover=\"this.style.backgroundColor='#1594c6'\"\n     onmouseout=\"this.style.backgroundColor='#1eabe4'\">\n    \ud83d\udc4d Like &amp; Comment on YouTube\n  <\/a>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2728 Inspired by the core message of the Course:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"Nothing real can be threatened.
