His early spiritual life was devoted to Bible study and leading discussion groups, which laid a foundation for a lifetime of teaching and introspection.\n    <\/p>\n\n    <p>\n      Professionally, he worked as a computer programmer, author, teacher and system administrator until 1993, when he co-founded the Circle of Atonement Teaching and Healing Center in Sedona, Arizona with Robert Perry. Together they have led numerous workshops and retreats and written or co-authored several books and booklets based on <em>A Course in Miracles<\/em>, tot sy aftrede in 2006.\n    <\/p>\n\n    <p>\n      His books include <em>A Workbook Companion<\/em>, <em>Seeing the Bible Differently<\/em> and <em>The Journey Home<\/em>. Allen currently lives in Portland, Oregon, where he is working on a multi-part commentary on the complete Text of <em>A Course in Miracles<\/em>.\n    <\/p>\n\n    <p>\n      Allen is a licensed Unity teacher affiliated with Unity of Portland.
